Charisma
The first thing one notices about Alalle is her incredible charisma. Even in places where duskwight are looked down upon, it isn't long before she's made a friend of everyone around. For one thing, she's incredibly smiley, but it likely helps that's she is often found doing favors and helping out. Many find it difficult to resist someone so kind, as well as capable. A few generations removed from the Gelmorran people, she doesn't think much about her duskwight heritage, preferring to believe in the ability of one's individual character to shine through, no matter the circumstances of their birth. Make no mistake however, she loves her family more than anything, looks up to her older sisters, and adores her younger ones.Strength
As the tallest and strongest, as well as the most outgoing among her siblings, she is easily confused as being the oldest among her sisters, regardless who she's seen with. In a contest of raw brawn, she is easily able to overpower opponents of much greater size. In fact, she loves going out into the wilderness and fighting large monsters when something is on her mind. Her love of the shield comes from her days on the beach as a child, training with her sisters. When she was too young to wield a true "weapon", but she still wanted to participate with her older sisters' training, her father let her join in by holding a shield. After all, they'd do much better to hit a living, moving target, than just whacking away at a training dummy. It's unclear if Alalle really understands why she was there, but in the end, her time training with her sisters would serve them all well, as they all became quite formidable in a fight.Brilliance
Alalle isn't particularly bright, metaphorically speaking. Literally speaking, however, is an entirely different story. Full to bursting with heroic spirit, she does her very best to keep enemy eyes locked on her in times of battle. To this end, she's taken to imbuing certain crystals and metals with an almost hypnotic glow to keep attention. Whereas a Dark Knight uses magic to induce fear as a contingency to ensure they remain the center of an enemy's ire, Alalle prefers instead to use this alluring shimmer. By flooding materials with a large amount of light-aspected aether, she is also capable of greatly raising the intensity of this light. She often does this to create light in dark places, but more commonly to 'flashbang' her enemies in a fight. This is essentially her special move, and she prefers to use custom-made equipment specifically conductive of her aether for the greatest results. Over time, she developed a habit of exuding this alluring glow involutarily, and now it's nearly constant, and flucutates with her mood. It's easy to notice a room literally getting brighter when she smiles.Appreance
Alalle stands out as something of a giant among her kind. Easily standing above even relatively tall roegadyn women, but retaining the lithe figure one would expect of an elezen. The monstrous strength she wields comes as less of a surprise to those who meet her face-to-face. Also, her pink freckles are actually fake! She paints them on because she likes her older sister Sygglona's freckles.Diet
Aside from healthy amounts of water and generous helpings of meat, her diet consists entirely of baguettes, croissants, cheeses, and her ever favored grape juice. It is unclear how, if at all, this relates to her inexplicable thick French accent. She considers any of these items an excellent gift, so long as they're made with love. She thrives mingling with people who are in their cups, but she never partakes of alcoholic drinks. While she is a fan of casual violence and intimacy, she prefers not to engage in these things while in an altered state of mind.Habitat
Though she's come to love Ul'dah and it it's unique culture, she's a beach goer at heart, frequently seen partying or relaxing in Costa Del Sol, the Cieldalaes, or back at home in the south seas. She also enjoys outfitting herself and her family and taking lots of photos. Some of her siblings are less keen to entertain this than others, but they have all learned to manage. Passion is something none among the Mobulets can ever seem to dismiss.

Affiliated Characters

The Mobulets and the company they keep are all quite eccentric and they have their differences, but at the end of the day, they form a whole greater than the sum of its parts. The Mobulets own land on the isles south of Eorzea, but they all live on or travel the mainland. They're mostly quite spread out, meaning that anywhere one goes in Eorzea, you're likely to come across someone whose life has been irrevocably changed by them.

Petchka Pripravasch, Age 25. DRG/VPR
Petchkasch Pride, Triplets, Age 21.A young Bozjan Queen and Alalle's enthusiastic rival. She and her three younger brothers are incredibly talented in the culinary arts, and seek to hone their abilities. Though Petchka is the real brawn of their family, their combined force should not be underestimated.

Sygglona Mobulet, Age 30. GNB/MCH
Istrix Aotus, Age 31. AST/ALCThe oldest of the Mobulet family daughters. Her demeanor is a bit rough, but once you see the effort she puts in to help those around her, you'll realize she has a heart of gold, she's just shy about showing it. She doesn't seem to outwardly enjoy excess praise, and is instead content to do her part without making a spectacle out of it. After Jelanette, she's easily the smartest of the bunch, but her brilliant mind and relatively short stature betray her great physical power, which is only outmatched by Alalle herself. One should be careful not to waste her time, as she has a bit of a short fuse. In battle, Sygglona makes her mind known from the outset: "The best defense is a good offense." Her fighting style can best be compared to a chainsaw strapped to a cieling fan.

B'Nille, Age 27. PCTThe second born Mobulet daughter. Beneath her quiet and non-emotive exterior belies a contemplative genius with a passion for exploration and discovery. Most who meet her agree she could easily be admitted among the scholars of Old Sharlyan, but she prefers fieldwork and examination too much, and has little interest in paperwork. She has made good use of her sisters' adventurous nature by signing up with the retainers guild, and working with all of them on a regular basis. It should be noted that there is a pattern among the Mobulets, which observes the daughters born with pink eyes being exceptionally physically gifted, and the ones with green eyes as exceptionally magically gifted. Seeking to teach Jelanie to balance her unusual aetheric aptitude, her father imparted upon her the ways of Red Magic, and trained her to strike true with a rapier. Frequently seen levitating.

Molaine, Age 24. WHM/BRD

Viviti Viti, Age 23. NIN/BTNThe fourth Mobulet daughter, referred to as Mola by her family. Described by many as a beautiful angel, Molaine is the one sister all the others look up to, despite her being the second youngest. Her gentle kindness and unyielding altruism inspire them all and make her parents proud. While she naturally excels at working with powerful healing magicks, she is also a skilled musician. She took up the harp at a young age in support of her younger sister, who has always harbored a love for dance. More than anyone, she looks up to Alalle the most. Some might say she has something of a sister complex.Ceaulouise, Age 22. DNC/RPR
The youngest Mobulet daughter. A gifted athlete and talented dancer, her cute appearance and entertaining skillset make her charm apparent at the outset. She loves and seeks Molaine's attention whenever possible, often sticking close by her side. She can, at times become extremely jealous of Molaine's admiration of Alalle, but she's pretty good at keeping it under her breath. As she is in possession of a Reaper Soul Crystal, it might initially come across as strange to see such an adorable muse dancing in tandem with a grizzly voidsent, but it will eventually become clear that she becomes a different person when Molaine isn't around, plainly described as a violent, foul-mouthed bully. Some might say she has something of a sister-er complex.

Mother. OmnicrafterA Lominsan trader who once sailed the seas to deliver goods. Her exceptional problem solving abilities helped her to form many fruitful connections. In order to better care for her family, she has taken on a more administrative role in her mercantile career. She loves her family dearly, but it's easy to see that they can be a lot to handle at times. Thankfully, she's exceptionally good at multitasking. It's clear from whom Sygglona and Jelanette get their brains.

Father. RDM/BLUA charismatic duskwight man who met Alalle's mother when his poor eyesight led him to make a series of critical errors which landed him on her trading vessel. In his youth, he was an adventurer, and quite a skilled one at that. He was a proficient mage and duelist, but a vocational injury saw him settle down indefinitely. With his remaining strength, he trained his daughters in the arts of battle and magic, and the rest is history. Alalle's resemblance to him personality-wise is, frankly, stunning. In fact, he and Alalle somehow manage to be the only ones with French accents.

The Miraculous Masked M, Age ???. BLU/RDM
The Marvelous Masked M, Age ???. BLU/RDMThe Miraculous Masked M was a notorious detective, known for traveling the realm of Eorzea in the dead of night, solving mysteries and defeating evildoers. He was often referred to as a foolish genius, due to his improbable and often nonsensical methods, but in the end, he always found justice for those direly in need. Some 30 summers past, he vanished as suddenly and mysteriously as he had appeared. Recently, however, there have been Whisperings of a new moonlight justiciar. Described as a larger-than-life roegadyn woman, this "Marvelous Masked M," as she styles herself, seems to have taken up the mantle and continued her predecessor's weary work. They say that if you look up to the sky on a clear night, you may catch a glimpse of her. Carried by her magicked umbrella and silhouetted in silver by the fair moon's light, her form would be unmistakable.

I go by Naldo, and am in Post-Endwalker quests in terms of MSQ. I don't Roleplay, I just like being creative from time to time, so here I've written on my silly little fish family of fan characters. By the way, did you know that a mobula is a type of ray, closely related to a manta ray? Ha! It brings to mind the large ears of an elezen. Alalle and her family have no tragic or traumatic backstories. They have had good days and bad days, just like everyone else, but I think real life is hard enough. I don't see a reason these fictional characters need to suffer, too. I love them and I want things to work out for them, and so they will, because I have the power to write it that way. I interpret the story of FFXIV to be one of the triumph of positivity. All of the kind people I've met and the incredible memories I've made along the way make it impossible to throw my character to the wolves of bitter despair.
By my power, I would see Alalle Mobulet and FFXIV flourish and prosper.
